The platform
Mission
intajat is a creative platform and online shop based in Doha, supporting artists from Qatar, the Gulf and the wider region. We commission, publish, exhibit, and quietly sell.
We were founded around a single idea: that the most interesting art conversations happening in the region deserve a permanent room of their own — bilingual, considered, and built to last.
Today the platform represents over thirty artists, runs two annual exhibitions, publishes the printed volume Intajat Presents, and hosts open calls for emerging practice.
Founder
Khalifa Bin Abdulla Al-Thani
Living at the intersection of film, art & tech.
A Qatari filmmaker and producer, Khalifa founded intajat in 2023 to create the kind of platform he had been looking for — one that takes the region's artists seriously, in their own voice.
His work in film and editorial — including features in Esquire Middle East — informs the platform's bias for slow looking and careful publishing.
